Souhridha and Carreer Guidance clubs
Souhrida Club/Health Club
Adolescent counseling and Health Care Programme is a unique, novel and innovative programme conceived and launched by the Department of Higher Secondary Education. This programme is implemented in schools through Souhrida Clubs. At present 1039 Souhrida Clubs are functioning in the State. Souhrida Club supports students in developing essential life skills and emotional well-being. It helps them cope confidently with personal, academic, and social challenges in life.
Aim of the Souhrida Club
The aim of the Club is to improve the physical, academic, social and inter personal skills of the adolescents and lead them towards a successful adulthood. Souhrida Club assures a platform for the students to express their problems frankly. Privacy and transparency are two key factors of Souhrida Club.
Objectives of the Souhrida Club
The activity oriented objectives enable self-development and empowerment of adolescents, spread awareness among them about health, hygiene, nutri-tion, Adolescent Reproductive and Sexual Health, and family and child care; upgrade their home-based skills and life skills
Vimukthi
Vimukthi is a programme executed by the Souhrida Club to eradicate the drug addiction among adolescent students. School is operating various move-ments including an active secret squad among the students under the club.
Health Club
Various programmes are coordinated by the school as per the directions given by public health department of Thrikkakara Municipality.
Career Guidance Cell
The Career Guidance Club assists students in choosing suitable career paths through focused guidance and mentoring. Separate sessions for Science and Commerce streams create awareness about career prospects and current industry standards.
